Note from Gideon

Welcome to the latest edition of On The Radar!

What a month! With fires in my state and surrounding counties shutting down power to avoid possible fire danger during a high wind event, it looked kind of rough for a while. My heart goes out to my fellow Oregonians and people around the country whose lives were affected by these recent events. With eyes glued to forecasts and hearts hoping for relief, we endured yet another fire season.

As weather conditions change and people find themselves in potentially life threatening situations, it is important that we do all we can to be as prepared as possible. Whether it be staying up to date with the latest in changing weather conditions in your area, being knowledgeable about the solid and reliable science behind forecasts, or knowing how to be prepared should disaster strike, Weather Band can help you position yourself to weather any coming storms.

Check out what’s going on this month!
