Our first AMS Weather Band Trivia Night will test your knowledge of tropical cyclone forecasting, historical tropical cyclones, and the science behind these powerful storms. Can you answer questions about advisory types, forecast accuracy, and a mysterious South Atlantic phenomenon? 

This interactive online webinar event will kick off at 7 pm ET with some get-to-know-each-other fun before we take on the trivia. Get ready for a fun and fact-filled educational event that will put your weather knowledge to the test!

Ways to Participate

  • If you’d like to take part in the trivia night and be eligible for prizes, you can sign in as a participant when you join the webinar.  
  • If you’d like to take part but not in the competition, you can also follow along the shared screen without logging in and test your weather knowledge!

How to Join

To be able to answer questions and be counted in the leaderboard, you’ll need to either join on your computer or mobile device. There are several ways you can join!

Please note that the QR and numbers given in this example will not be the ones used for the event, join us on the day of the event to get this trivia night’s information. 

If you’d like to join using your desktop or within the zoom app, our host will prompt you to join Mentimeter (our trivia app) shortly after you log into the webinar. A button will appear on the right-hand side of your screen. 

To use your phone and follow along with the webinar, you can use the QR when the webinar starts, or go to on your mobile browser and enter the room code.
